Now that the colder months are finishing and the sunshine, flowers and warm breeze is telling us the beautiful summer months are coming. It’s a great time to start thinking about your air conditioner and what you need to do to ensure it’s operating smoothly through the summer months.

Last year our summer was HOT, and the last thing you want to experience is a broken down air conditioner on a sweltering Melbourne day!

Now is a great time to look at having your unit serviced. As having your system serviced seasonally helps to remove bugs, dust mites and vermins. Sees filters cleaned or relaced. Improves the quality of air your unit produces during use.

Our technicians examine all parts carefully ensuring your system is working cohesively and enables any potential problems to be rectified immediately.  Additionally, they will remove any external debris around the unit and will ensure there are no hindrances.

For those choosing not to have their unit serviced, here are some steps you can take to prepare your system for the summer months. Please make sure you have turned off the power supply to the unit when carrying out the following.

  1. Change or clean the filters. This should be done on your unit regularly throughout the year. Some units have disposable filters and others re-usable. Simply clean them in water. It’s important to always check with the manufacturer’s manual to see how many filters your unit has and how you go about changing or cleaning them.
  2. Cleaning around the unit. During the winter months your unit will have accumulated outside elements such as leaves, plants, dirt or debris. These can potentially damage the unit, so it is important to remove them as safely as possible.
  3. Check for any leaks. If you do see any leaks we recommend you book in your service immediately and refrain from using the unit.

If you have any questions or concerns with your unit, please contact our team on 1300 069 247 or you can book in for an appointment here.
